Born
in Perth, Scotland, Isla MacKillop moved to Hong Kong at
the age of 4 where she started ballet
lessons with Ms. Regine Wong. Upon completing Form
5 in Hong Kong she returned to the United Kingdom to take
up full time training in dance.
Ms. MacKillopˇ¦s teaching career started whilst she was at
university. She taught contemporary dance to local
students on a regular basis and also had the privilege
of working with children with disabilities.
Since coming back to Hong Kong, Ms. MacKillop has been teaching
ballet and modern dance at local ballet schools, as well
as other schools. She has choreographed for
competitions, concerts and musicals and her students
have won numerous prizes at the Inter-Schools Dance
Festivals.
As Principal, she passes on her knowledge and passion for dance
to future dancers.
